Riley Paton, Therapist

Counselling
For the past nine years, I have been working as a teacher and have extensive experience with children, adolescents, and their families. I provide compassionate and strengths-based care and often explore themes around emotional understanding, building self-esteem, and developing healthy coping strategies. My clients and students tell me I am warm, funny, and engaging.
My skills are best suited for children, teens, and young adults. I have a background working with youth who experience a range of concerns, including anxiety, low self-esteem, learning difficulties, peer conflicts, OCD, grief and loss, and ADHD. My approach to counselling is tailored to each client and draws from various therapeutic models such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and solution-focused therapy. I enjoy incorporating art, games, and movement into sessions when it fits for my clients.
If you think we would be a good fit, I would love to hear from you!
